Stories. Soil.
Songs. Soul.
Author · Gardener · Nurse · Songwriter
I have spent much of my life helping things grow: people, plants, ideas, faith, stories, and sometimes myself.
Roots OMG is where those worlds meet. It is a place for books and gardens, honest reflections and music, laughter and loss, and the lessons we discover while becoming who we were meant to be.
You do not need a green thumb to belong here. You just need to be growing.
Welcome to my world.
Roots OMG began in the garden, but growth has never stayed neatly inside the garden bed. Explore the different places these roots have taken me.
Books & Writing

Why Plants Die
and Other Happy Thoughts
Seeds are just the beginning.
Sometimes the best advice comes from a plant.
A whimsical, thoughtful journey through growth, grief, resilience, and hope—told with the kind of perspective only a plant watching humans could have.
Meet Frances, a quiet observer with roots, opinions, and more insight into the human condition than anyone expected.
This is not really a book about keeping plants alive. It is about what happens when life asks us to keep growing.
Buy the Book Learn More“I can’t do a chapter a week. When I start reading, I can’t stop. You have a real God-given gift for putting such hard feelings into words and expressing them in a way that helps you understand what to do with them. Your book came at a perfect time in my life.” — Susie
Everything visible started somewhere unseen.
Being rooted has always meant more to me than gardening.
Roots connect us to what nourishes us. They give us somewhere to stand when the weather changes. They keep working even in seasons when nothing appears to be happening above the surface.
That idea runs through everything here—from the garden to my writing, from nursing to music, and from faith to the ordinary work of becoming.
So I'll keep asking the question:What are you growing?
There is always something growing around here.

The COMpost is where I share what is growing between the bigger moments: garden wisdom, book news, reflections, events, encouragement, and the occasional beautifully bad plant pun.
No overwatering. Just enough to help something grow.
